Why I like to live in a modern apartment

        Living in a modern apartment building brings many benefits. First of all, it is cheaper then living in  a traditional house and paying different kinds of fees I am not familiar with. For instance, my friend, who recently bought a new house for his family, said me that it is much easier to live in an apartment and I tend to believe him when I see his bills. So, living in an apartment will definitely help me to save some money. Second of all, since I live alone I do not need a big house with many rooms. I just need a bedroom and a living room where I can take my guests and have my work place. Another important benefit of living in an apartment is that I will not have to buy much cumbersome furniture in order to furnish all rooms. In conclusion, I would prefer to live in an apartment. It can help me save some money and allows me to spend more time studying because I will not have to do many household tasks.

A big party.

 We had a big party, known as a Heritage Day party, in this morning. This party was celebrated by teachers and students of the EAP program in the passage-way, the way to EAP office. We arranged 2 tables row along the passage-way, then put the food on those tables. The party started when the lunch time was coming. I saw too much kind of food on tables. They were made by EAP students or teachers. Each food was from each culture of students. We also were allowed to invite our relative or friends came to this party. There were a lot of people in there. Scott, who is teaching me in EAP 1, surprised me by his hat. He looked so strong as a cow-boy who come from the Western America. I was there were many girls who stood beside him. They all wanted to take some pictures with him. I started trying some food. They really were delicious. I could not try all of them because there were a lot of food. I met some people who I 've never seen before this party and talked about EAP program to them. I had many pictures of my class. I will post them on Facebook tonight. That is a special time which I first have in U of C.

A terrible weather.

 The weather in Calgary is getting colder lately. Although I have been in Canada for over 1 year , so this is the first time I 've seen a lot of snow on streets like that. Whole Calgary city seems to be covered by a huge white coat. The temperature in here always under 0 too much.  I saw a lot of snow on a ground that is behind my house when I was opening the door. I had to pust hard the door because it was flooded a part by snow. I stepped out with my feet which were flooded by snow on the street. I could see several cars was moving very slowly. They could have a accident if they ran too fast and stopped suddenly on a wet road. I was standing beside the bus stop for waiting the bus. Unfornately, the bus was later than in other days. I guessed snowing was a reason. Finally, it was coming. I had to lost over 1hour for moving to U of C. The bad weather and staying too far from campus made me vey tired.  When I left the Ctrain station where is beside U of C , I saw many pioneers on campus which seemed to be  half white trees. I didn't understand why I always fell colder on the way to Education building. It was really colder than other places. The warm was coming to me when I came inside this building. I hope the weather is better next week.

The great CEO ( Chief Executive Officer ).

Steve Jobs, who is a CEO of Apple company, is very famous in the world. By his leader, the products of Apple are getting popular lately. He has a great talent and special personality. He often appear with a simple clothes in those Apple shows. It makes him becomes different so much with other leaders. However, Steve Job has a charming speech when he  Show were taken by surprised when Jobs was introducing the Iphone 4. Although the Iphone 4 had been known before this show was showing so the numbers of the people were increasing more after they heard what Steve Jobs said.Then they even wanted to buy Iphone4 in that show. We could see a lot of people lined up for buying the Iphone 4. That was a big success for Apple and personal Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs also is  a creative designer. Not many people know Jobs had written very nice before he left his university. That influences too much to products of Apple. In his mind, all products of Apple have to be beautiful, fashion and special. That’s why Apple’s product usually to carry buyer by their design. One special thing of Steve Jobs is that he has a hot temper. Jobs always ready to criticize the press and his rival if they seem to doubt what he said. Probadly some people don’t like this thing, but other people don’t think so. They believe that thing is very interesting thing in his personality. Nowaday there are more and more students who want to learn from Steve in their lives. So I think I’m a one of them. Steve Jobs is truly great CEO by his success with Apple company.

My hometown.

 My hometown, where I was born and grew up, is a nice city, called Ha Phong. Hai Phong city is the one of three biggest city in my country, Viet Nam. My city seems to look a island, which is surrounded by a river, called Red River. That is the biggest and longest in Northern of Viet Nam. The land of Northern Viet Nam has been getting fatter by the alluviums of Red River since many years ago. Therefore, Viet Nam has been a country, where exports a lot of rice in the world, after Thailand. If you visit my hometown, you could see many fat farms in the surbus of Hai Phong city, where have been conected with urban area by five bridges. I will never forget the scenery of villages, with the famers, who are working beside the buffaloes or the farming machines very hard on the farms. The rice-fields seem to put a yellow coat over its shoulders in the fall, when the famers can start harvesting rice. In the spring, that colour of that coat starts changing to green because the famers begin to transplant rice seedlings on their farms. Unfornatunely, although the famers in my hometown are working very very hard, so they have been poor, even very poor. But the lives in the urban area are not the same. Most people in that area have had comfortable lives lately because the government changed their economic policy to market economy. There are many new roads, model buildings or big companies were built in my city. Now, you can see many luxury cars on the streets, that I have never seen before. When I was there, I used to drink coffee with my friend in several cafes, where are beside the Big Theatre square, which has a picture of Uncle Ho Chi Minh on its top. Also there are many people work out every early morning in front of Big Theatre square. Some of them run, other people walk or play tennis. All of them have made a vivid life. Although I'm living in Canada, so it seem the life in my city is happening in my mind. You can see that my hometown is truly beautiful. I love this city so much and I hope that one day I can live there one more time.

Chinese history

Perharp you know already about China. They are the one of some country, where have a longest history in the world. When I was a boy, I had read many books, that wrote about the history of Chinese, very carefully. That was my hobby. I did not know why the history of Chinese could make me be interested in them like that. I only thought just one reason. First, the history of Chinese hasd thousand of years, so they had had many dynastics since many years ago. Many battles happened when the people started invading the other countries. You know what, China was shared to many smaller countries thousands of years ago. Each that small country had a ruler, who could control anyone, anything in their land. When one of those countries was getting stronger, they really wanted to attack the other countries for making their own land was getting larger, richer and more gold or silver. For this reason, there were many fierce battles between them. Many outstanding leaders, heroes and advidsors, who were very brave, intelligent and great, appeared in this period. They made a lot of legends by their feat of arms. For example, General ZhaoYun, who lived in Three Kingdoms period, killed thousands of soldiers, hundreds of soldiers of his enemy by himself for protecting the son of his ruler in Chang Ban battlefield. Or Zhugeliang, who was the most intelligent advidsor in Three Kingdoms period. He could predict his enemies' plans or the weather, and gave a lot of good plan for defeating them. By his talent, his army with 5000 men defeated CaoCao's army with 100,000 men in Xin Ye battlefield. This is some of stories I can tell. It made me feel amazing with the history of Chinese. Now I still like to read about them more, and I think I will never stop reading them until I die.

My favorite sport.

 If someone ask me what is the most famous sport in the world, I will answer that it's soccer for sure. I do not know why the people in North America call that sport is soccer, however in Europe everybody call it is football. Soccer is really the great sport because it is very popular in many countries except Canada. In my country, the men who love soccer too much, can forget something but they never forget watching doccer on TV or directly in stadiums. Especially they always spend most of their time on Premier League, that is the soccer National Championship of England, Spain or Italy every weekend. Also they like playing soccer in some mini stadiums with their friends, their partners or even some strangers whom they have never seen before. When I was in my country, I used to play soccer with my partners every afternoon, when we finished our work. That feeling was very exciting because I could play my favorite sport everyday. Now I'm living in Canada, where the people do not think soccer is the most popular sport. I hope that one day I will play soccer with my EAP classmates, that is so nice.
